We’ve known Jessica and her family for years — they live just across the street from us in Holly Springs! We’ve had the honor of photographing their family through so many milestones over time, from childhood portraits to senior photos and now … Jessica’s wedding day. Being part of this next chapter in her life felt like watching family celebrate love, laughter, and legacy all in one day.

A Historic Venue Full of Charm — Forest Hall at Chatham Mills

Located in Pittsboro, just a short drive from Chapel Hill, Raleigh, Durham, and Greensboro, Forest Hall at Chatham Mills is a dream venue for couples who want that perfect blend of industrial, vintage, and historic charm.

Originally built in the early 1900s as a label mill, the venue boasts exposed brick walls, restored hardwood floors, and tall windows that let in streams of beautiful natural light. Outside, the 32-acre property offers lush forest views, manicured gardens, and a towering Sycamore tree that adds a touch of natural elegance to every photo.

It’s truly a photographer’s paradise — and Jessica and Brandon’s fall wedding took full advantage of it.

Getting Ready — Laughter, Family, and Beautiful Details

Jessica spent the morning surrounded by her mom, sisters, and close friends. The room was full of laughter and happy tears as she got ready. She wore her hair down with a delicate braid pulled back, adorned with tiny white flowers — the perfect romantic touch for the fall season.

Her twin brothers, dressed sharply in white shirts, bow ties, and suspenders, brought their signature humor and charm to the day. Meanwhile, Brandon and other family relaxed in the hall before guests arrived, enjoying those final calm moments before the celebration began.

Jessica shared a touching first look with her son in front of the venue’s exposed brick walls — a moment filled with emotion and pure love. She also had a sweet moment with her dad before he walked her down the aisle, later joined by her stepfather to accompany her the rest of the way.

The Ceremony at Forest Hall

The ceremony space at Forest Hall at Chatham Mills is every bit as stunning as the grounds — hardwood floors, exposed wooden beams, and floor-to-ceiling windows fill the room with soft, natural light.

Jessica’s son took his role as ring security very seriously, and her twin brothers provided plenty of entertainment as “flower boys,” tossing and blowing leaves down the aisle.

When Jessica’s dad and stepfather both walked her down the aisle, it was a touching moment that symbolized the love of their whole family coming together.

Jessica and Brandon couldn’t stop smiling throughout the ceremony.

After the ceremony, Jessica shared an emotional moment outside with Brandon’s dad — a quiet exchange of hugs and happy tears that perfectly captured the love and connection between their two families.

Portraits and Reception — Dancing, Bubbles, and Joy

After the ceremony, we explored the property for portraits. From the industrial architecture to the romantic gardens, every spot offered a new perspective on this gorgeous venue. Inside, the mix of brick textures, big windows, and warm wood tones created timeless backdrops for their portraits.

The reception that followed was filled with energy and joy. First dances included Jessica and Brandon, Jessica and her dad, Jessica and her stepdad, and a sweet mother-son moment between Jessica and her son.

As the night went on, the room glowed under twinkle lights and wooden beams, with laughter echoing through the hall. Guests blew bubbles as Jessica and Brandon shared another dance — a perfect, lighthearted ending to a heartfelt celebration.
